In 1990, Canon introduced The Clean Earth Campaign and began to recover and recycle toner cartridges used in many Canon office products. In 1995, Canon U.S.A. repositioned The Clean Earth Campaign as a branding umbrella to represent all of Canon's U.S. environmental accomplishments.
