Commonwealth Technology Accepts UK Scholarship Challenge

In a effort to provide more Kentucky students with the opportunity to obtain a college degree, the University of Kentucky has unveiled a major fundraising initiative.  The President's Scholarship Initiative (themed "See Blue. Make a Difference") was presented to a packed Rupp Arena crowd following ESPN Game Day Saturday.  The program is designed to ensure that a UK education remains accessible to all Kentuckians.

Commonwealth Technology's owner and president, Troy Turner, stood alongside President Todd and First Lady Patsy Todd and Coach Calipari and his wife, Ellen, to annouce that they are each contributing $25,000 each to launch the initiative.  

"The President's Scholarship Initiative is not just important for the future of the University, it is important for Kentucky's future," Todd said.  "Scholarships afford students with the greatest gift anyone can offer - the gift of opportunity."

On a cold and snowy night in January, the Kentucky Chamber held their annual Kentucky Chamber Day in Lexington.  Despite the weather, more than 1,000 were in attendance to hear legislative leaders and Gov. Steve Beshear speak about their priorities for the 2010 General Assembly. 

KET's Kentucky Tonight's host Bill Goodman served as the master of ceremonies and other speakers included Ed Worley, Senate Minority Floor Leader; Greg Stumbo, House Speaker; David Williams, Senate President; and David Adkission, President and CEO of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Lexington, Kentucky December 18, 2008 - Today, Commonwealth Technology announces that it has signed an agreement to sell and service the full line of Canon multi-function devices, printers, and production machines.

Canon is listed by Fortune Magazine as one of the “Most Admired Companies in America,” and is ranked #35 on the Business Week list of “Top 100 Brands”.

Commonwealth Technology now provides office equipment to KY State Goverment

Commonwealth Technology now provides Konica Minolta office equipment via a recently awarded pre-negotiated contract with Kentucky State Government. These contracts offer a cost effective means of acquiring equipment through an approved government vehicle without the necessity of issuing a formal bid.
