Executive Leadership

Troy W. Turner – President

Troy Turner is the President of Commonwealth Technology. He founded the company in 1987. He started the business from humble beginnings with a driving desire to build a business based on the principle of helping local companies increase their profit margin by providing office equipment that worked for them.

By night, he worked side by side with his small staff to clean and repair the machines. By day, he worked diligently to present and sell the equipment. From the beginning, it was evident that Troy would be a hands-on owner.

Never one to pass the buck, Mr. Turner is available to his customers. One thing that sets Commonwealth apart from other businesses is the personal touch you receive and that is a priority to the company because it is a priority to Troy.

This businessman is well rounded as a solid citizen in the Lexington, KY area. He has a true passion for developing and supporting the community. He is active in various civic and community affairs including the renovation of the old Lansdowne Club which has now become a prized landmark known as The Signature Club as well as a regular supporter of The Christian Appalachian Project, The Lexington Christian Academy, and has attended Southland Christian Church for over 25 years.

Patricia Ulrich – Vice President

Patricia Ulrich is the Vice President of Commonwealth Technology. Since 1978, Mrs. Ulrich has worked for Union Trust Savings & Loan, Kentucky Powder Company, and Commonwealth Technology.

Her primary experience has always centered on finance and business management.

Throughout the years, Patricia has built a solid foundation for guiding successful companies by carefully overseeing procedures that ensure maximum efficiency and increased profits. Procedures are established with a series of checks and balances to ensure accuracy. These procedures help Commonwealth Technology run smoothly.

She also has a solid understanding of how important customers are to the success of any operation. In all training, you can be assured that customer satisfaction is stressed and expected from all employees. In return, employee growth and vendor relationships are extremely important. Concentration in all these areas allows Patricia to contribute to the overall success of Commonwealth Technology.

Barbara Isert – Vice President, Operations & Service

Barbara came to Commonwealth Technology after spending more than a decade in IT consulting and solutions.  Her experience is in using technology to solve problems or improve efficiency within organizations.  Barbara has spent the majority of her career in operations, overseeing service, delivery, inventory and logistics.  She is passionate about providing the highest quality service and ensuring that our clients have the best experience possible.  



Curtis Baker – Vice President of Sales

Curtis Baker is the Vice President of Sales at Commonwealth Technology a position he has held since August of 2009.  He’s responsible for overseeing the direction, development and business planning of the sales division.

Prior to joining the company he was Director of Sales for Ikon Office Solutions serving in that role for 12 years covering the markets of Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana and Southern Ohio.

He started his career in this industry in the early 80’s, in Dayton, Ohio  with Office Equipment Suppliers, Inc., which he was a stock holder and held several positions, both from service and sales side of the business.


Management Team

Steve Lambert – Lexington Field Service Supervisor

During his 28 years in the copier industry, Steve has completed several certification programs from leading copier manufactures such as Kodak, Cannon and Konica. During his tenure at the Kodak Company, he was selected for a temporary work assignment in TAC (Technical Assistance Center) support located in Rochester, New York. This assignment provided technical support for over 2000 field engineers located throughout the United States.

After completion of his degree from the Kentucky College of Technology in 1988, Steve began work immediately with Kodak. During his career with Kodak, he managed the district parts warehouse in the Lexington area. He along with others in his region was recognized for 13 straight quarters of achieving 100% Customer Satisfaction. Ten years later, Kodak sold the copier division to DANKA USA, a national copier company, and continued with them until 2001. Steve began employment with IKON Office Solutions in 2002 and continued to service equipment until joining Commonwealth Technology in December of 2008. Since then, he has been a leading technician in the area of high volume equipment and a valuable consultant to other technicians at Commonwealth Technology. His goal is to continue to emphasize the importance of customer satisfaction with all his technicians and how that will translate to the future growth of Commonwealth Technology.



Larry Enoch – Paducah Service Manager

Larry Enoch is the Service Manager for Commonwealth Technology of Paducah KY. Larry served as Western Business Equipment's Vice-President for 20 years, and became Service Manager after the company was purchased by Commonwealth Technology.  He has been in the copier business since 1982.

Larry started his career in Nashville Tennessee with a Canon dealer and was with them for 13 years. He moved back to western Kentucky and partnered up with Michael Lambert. They started a Panasonic dealership then added Kyocera and Standard. He has worked on Kyocera, Minolta, Panasonic, Toshiba, Canon and Standard equipment. He has been on the service side of the business most of the time and helped in sales also when need.



Tammy Malone – Warehouse Supervisor

Tammy Malone is the Warehouse Supervisor at Commonwealth Technology. Tammy has been with Commonwealth for over 4 years. She is primarily responsible for procurement of parts and supplies, inventory control and delivery and setup.

Tammy came to Commonwealth with over 10 years of experience in project management, service management, receiving management and customer service.



Mike Ritchie – Help Desk Supervisor

Mike Ritchie is the Help Desk Supervisor at Commonwealth Technology he has worked at Commonwealth since the beginning. Mike is primarily responsible for assisting customers with their networking needs. In late 2012 when the Customer Satisfaction Center was established, Mike moved from being a Field Engineer to the Help Desk.

Michael Lambert – Paducah Sales Manager

Michael Lambert is currently the sales manager for Commonwealth Technology located in Paducah, KY. He was the president of Western Business Equipment located in Paducah for 20 years. In April 2013, he sold his business to Commonwealth Technology.

Michael began working in the copier industry in 1987 for a local Minolta dealership as a service technician. He was trained on Minolta, Savin and Risograph equipment. In 1992, he formed an independent dealership of his own. After a brief time, the company became an authorized dealer for Panasonic and Standard office equipment. This continued for several years and they eventually added Kyocera to their list of authorized vendors. He attributes his past successes to having a strong commitment to the customer.
